Early Career Scientists Present At Oxford Cancer Group

05 Oct 2025

Alexander Colton enthusiastically presents his DPhil work to a room of engaged onlookers. Just over a week ago, early-career cancer researchers were given the opportunity to present their work to a range of non-specialists at an Oxford Cancer Group meeting.

Thanks to the work of OSSCE and Julliet Lwiindi - a Public Engagement and Involvement Officer at Oxford Cancer Group - two OSSCE members were invited to present their work to Patient Public Involvement (PPI) contributors. That is, a group of patients, caregivers, researchers and members of the public with an interest in improving cancer care.

We are glad to have been able to provide this opportunity, giving students a chance to practice presenting to non-specialist audiences, and giving the PPI contributors a chance to learn about cutting-edge research! Many thanks to everyone who worked to make this happen.
